Stitch works as a coloring page for a reason most characters do not: he is essentially a few large shapes. A round body, two big ears, four limbs and an enormous grin. Stitch on his own
Around thirty designs — waving, sitting, sleeping, grinning, fidgeting, peeking, upside down, bashful, held up, and a close-up of his face. Stitch is Experiment 626, built as a weapon and designed to be indestructible, which the film sets against the fact that he is roughly the size of a large cat.
Stitch and Angel
Twelve designs, and more than most collections offer. Angel is Experiment 624, pink where Stitch is blue, and she was created before he was — the numbering runs backwards from what most people assume. She appears here hugging him, nuzzling, touching noses, sharing an ice cream and sitting among flowers.
Lilo and Stitch together
Eight designs — hugging, a kiss on the cheek, two hula dancing pages, sitting together, and one surfing with Nani, Lilo’s older sister who is raising her. The hula pages are worth noting: Lilo’s dance class is where a lot of the film’s quieter moments happen.
Scrump
Five designs of the rag doll Lilo made herself, with a lopsided head and mismatched legs. Lilo describes her as having a bug for a head, which is why Scrump looks the way she does — it is a doll made by a child, drawn as a child would make it.
Hearts and Valentine’s
Around a dozen designs involve hearts — Stitch holding one, heart eyes, waving among hearts, a stitched heart, and most of the Angel pages. These are the ones that work as a card rather than just a page.
Hawaii and the beach
Surfboard and sunglasses, a snorkel mask and coconut, a ukulele, a hibiscus flower, a kite, a shark soft toy and a handheld games console on the sand. Lilo and Stitch is set on Kauai, and the beach material is a large part of why the film looks the way it does.

Coloring Tips
Stitch is blue, and that is about the only rule. Dark blue on top, lighter blue on the front and the inside of the ears, with a pink or purple nose and dark eyes. Children who know the film will insist on it, and getting it right takes about four pencils.
Angel is pink with the same markings. Where Stitch is blue she is pale pink, with a deeper pink on the ears and a lighter front. Colouring the two side by side on the paired pages is what makes them read as a pair.
Leave a highlight in the eyes. Stitch’s eyes are large, dark and take up most of his face. A small unfilled white spot in each is the single thing that stops him looking flat, and it takes a second.
The ears carry the expression. Up means happy, back means guilty, and every design here uses that. Colouring the inside of the ears a lighter shade than the outside makes the shape read properly.
Scrump can be anything. She is a doll a child made out of scraps, so mismatched colours are correct rather than wrong. The five Scrump pages are the ones to hand over when someone wants to use the whole tin.
Start young children on the simplest pages. The face close-up, baby Stitch, waving and sleeping have the fewest lines. Save the surfing page and the four-pose grid for someone older.

What does ohana mean?
It is the Hawaiian word for family, and the film’s best-known line explains it: ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. What makes it land is that the family in question is a small girl, her overwhelmed older sister, and an escaped genetic experiment — which is the whole point. Ohana in Hawaiian usage extends well beyond blood relatives to anyone who belongs, which is why the line works as well as it does.
